Dear TCS Families,
We would like to send you an update during this trying time, as wildfires have officially entered Transylvania County. Transylvania County School campuses are currently not in evacuation zones; therefore, they will remain open. We are in communication with Transylvania County Emergency Services and will continue to work with them to monitor the situation. As our county has been placed in a code purple, we have suspended all outdoor activities for students and will continue to make adjustments as needed. We understand that many of you have been impacted by these wildfires and we are here for you; please reach out to your child’s school for additional support. A tremendous thank you goes out to our first responders, who have been working tirelessly during the past week, and always, to keep our communities safe. Up-to-date resources can be found at www.transylvaniacounty.org. #TCSTogether

✨🚀This week, our 1st graders got to enjoy a special on campus field trip with Pisgah Astronomical Research Institute (PARI)! They had so much fun learning about space, stars, and planets through hands- n activities. It was a great experience that sparked their curiosity about the universe!
A big thank you to PARI for bringing this exciting learning opportunity to our school! 🌟🔭

Don't forget to write a note for your child's sick absence; Thank you!

❗Please help us keep our school healthy! Check out these guidelines for ensuring your child isn't coming back too soon after an illness:
-If your child has a fever today, they should stay home tomorrow.
-If they need Tylenol or Motrin for a fever, they should not attend school the next day.
-If you’re giving them medicine in the morning just to “get them through the day,” they should stay home.
-If your child has vomited or had diarrhea today, they should rest at home tomorrow.
-Flu season is in full swing—please keep sick or recovering children at home to help protect students and staff.
Thank you for your support!

Ayúdenos a mantener nuestra escuela sana.
